While we can assure you that a Sealy Posturepedic mattress does not generate heat, your mattress may retain your body or external heat.
We have a few suggestions you may wish to try:
- Remove any additional foam toppers. Foam is an insulator of heat, trapping heat in the air pockets within its structure. This might result in you having a warmer sleep environment.
- If you are naturally a hot sleeper, check if a new mattress you are purchasing has materials with cooling properties.
- Try to facilitate airflow. Open windows opposite to ensure ventilation, or turn on a fan to ensure that the air in your room is being circulated. You may also wish to use an air conditioner on a low setting to maintain a cooler room temperature.
- Ensure you are using appropriate bed linens. Opt for more breathable options like Cotton percale, which is light and crisp. Linen allows for excellent airflow, and bamboo is soft and regulates temperature well. All of these suit Singapore’s hot and humid climate.
